She was predeceased by: her husband John Harold Lofton; her parents, O. A. Taylor and Myrtle Slawson Taylor; and her siblings, Otis Taylor, Ronald Taylor and Ann Craddock.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Lofton Morgan (Mark) of Douglasville, Ruth Ann Flanders (Daryll) of Palm Coast, Carolyn Elaine Orbach (Billy) of Ravenel, SC and John Harold Lofton, Jr.. She is also survived by Eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
