He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Galloway and Ethel Larson; and his sister Nancy Hedstrom. He is survived by: his wife Paula Lynn Ellis of Charleston; his children, David Sr. Galloway (Erica), Teresa Kopil (Jeff), Susan (Rick Holloway) and Nancy Engel (Don); and his siblings, David (Marilyn) and Mary Catherine Davis (Ron). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family asks that charitable donations be made in Gary's name to the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida.
