It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Messing Bolotin (Charleston, South Carolina), who passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 107, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Freda Messing (Behrens) and Abraham Messing. She is survived by: her sister Helen; her children, David Bolotin (Susu Knight), Ruth (Bolotin), Bill Schwartz and Susan Bolotin (John Rothman); her grandchildren, Stephanie Schwartz, Rebecca (Schwartz), Joshua Weinreich, Lily Rothman, Elihu Dietz, Noah and Jessie Rothman (Toback); and her great grandchildren, Raphael, Jaye Weinreich, Abraham Dietz and Simon Rothman. She is also survived by siblings and cousins.
Though COVID may have precipitated her death, it's also likely that she decided, as she did with so many things, that it was time already.
