He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Manly Royall, Jr. and Norene Harmon Royall; and his siblings, Harriet Royall, Ellen Scurry and Edward M. Royall III.
He is survived by: his wife Posey Myers Royall; his children, Julia Royall, Elizabeth Darby (Stephen) and Edward Royall (Lucy); his grandchildren, Margaret Royall of Charleston, SC., Liza Darby of Charleston, SC. and David Darby of Charleston, SC.; and his sister Patricia Lawton of Bradenton, FL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
