With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charlie Hussey of Charleston, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 4, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his brother Gordon Lee Hussey; his aunt Vivian Hussey; his nephew Jeffrey Hussey; and also, Pamela Tovey Quattlebaum and Duke Warren.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy McQueen Hussey; his children, Timothy Merrick Hussey (Elise), Curtis O. Mitchell (Jennifer), Sarah Elizabeth McQueen Mitchell, Michael Jason Hussey and Charles Thomas Hussey, Jr. (Paige); his grandchildren, Duke Moseley Reagan, Foster Legare Mitchell, Birdie McQueen Mitchell, Merrick Elise Hussey, Leora Lennox Hussey, Charles Knox Hussey, Marlowe Evelyn Hussey and Shep Seabrook Hussey; his brother John Fleming Hussey, Jr. (Nancy); his mothers-in-law, Evelyn Clark and Sally Warren; and his close friends, David Miller and Priscilla Zeigler Croft. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and several cousins.
