He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Simpson and Jennie Gibson Simpson; his wife Deloris Porcha Simpson; and his siblings, Marian Simpson Maybank, Alexander Simpson, Sr., Miller Simpson, Althea Simpson Harbour, Dr. Merton Simpson, Margaret Simpson Randolph, Patsy Simpson Johnson and Peggy Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Carlton Simpson (Kasonya) and Keisha Simpson; and his grandchildren, Carson and Karlah Simpson.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the North Charleston Chapel (4060 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29405). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church (44 Nassau St, Charleston, SC 29403). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery (2728 Spruill Ave, North Charleston, SC 29405).
