He is survived by: his daughter Dorris Dethero James; his son-in-law Benjamin Burl James; his grandchildren, Mary Margaret James, Henry Burl James and Alison Chapin James; and his brothers, David Lawrence Dethero and Harry Ramsey Dethero. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church (320 Broad St NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
