He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester B. Ballam and Mildred Rabens Ballam; his children, Donna Ballam and Robbie Marlowe; and his granddaughter Marlowe Moxley.
He is survived by: his wife Loy B. Ballam; his children, Renee Ballam Shaw (Bryan), Kelly Ballam Cox (Leslie), Bram Ballam (Kathy), Eddie Marlowe (Colleen), Leigh Marlowe and Elizabeth Evans (Scott); his grandchildren, Alyson Kelley (Marlin), Lynsey Zieman, Cameron Jones (Coleen), Clay McCarn, Austin Shaw (Katie), Brittany Butler (Adam), Lida Madison Ward (Jon), Luke Ballam (Widgeon), Rosalyn Ballam (Zac), Jenna Moore (Marshall), Hampton Marlowe (Jess), Billy Marlowe (Samantha), Mallory Marlowe-Dandreo (Garrett), Kelsey Marlowe, Ryleigh Evans and Elle Evans; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Marlowe; and his cousin Betty Jean Huggins. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel (1494 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel (1494 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
