He was predeceased by: his siblings, Frances Granger and Walt Hudson; and his former wife Elizabeth Hudson. He is survived by: his wife Lesesne; his stepsons, Greg Scott (Nicole), Chris Scott (Agapi) and Roth Scott (Blair); his grandchildren, Julius Scott, Daisy Scott, Stella Scott and Fields Scott; his siblings-in-law, Dick Deerin (Sue), Connie Deerin, Ginny Deerin, John Deerin (Carole) and Liz Hudson; his nieces, Elizabeth Hudson (Jon) and Lynn Baker (Steve); and his great-nephew Ryan. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Daniel Island Club (600 Island Park Dr, Charleston, SC 29492).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Toys for Tots, a Marine Corps charity, at 4229 Domino Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405, in Bury's honor.
