With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia G. Gerrald of Chapin, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 5, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Virginia has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles George and Martha George; her husband Harold Gerrald; and her siblings, Emory George, Carolyn Quick and Janice Coxe.
She is survived by: her children, Mitch Stephens (Patricia) and Darlene Stephens (Danny Newton); her granddaughter Lindsey Pearson; and her brother Charlie George (Geri). She is also survived by her family and being the world's best mom to her children.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapin Presbyterian Church (600 Old Lexington Hwy, Chapin, SC 29036). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at the Bush River Memorial Gardens (5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212).
