He was predeceased by: his wife Sabina; his parents, Elmer Dineen Causey of Mt Zion and Fern Lucille Rhodes Marsh of Decatur; and his siblings, Patricia Ann Stickles of Chicago, Reba Marie Pharris of Shelbyville and Eugene Lee Causey of Gages Lake.

He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Robison of Gaston, Lisa Brazzale (Erik) of Newport News, Phillip Causey (Karen) of Virginia Beach, Jason Causey of Newport News and Jedekiah Causey of Chapin; and his stepchildren, Angela Herman (Byran) of Charleston and Earl Walker of Greenville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and 10 great- grandchildren.
