He was predeceased by: his father Richard F. Jackson Sr.; and his siblings, Richard Jackson Jr., Percey Jackson, Eugene Jackson, Sidney Jackson (Burgess) and Alice Windom.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Jones Jackson; his children, Donna J. Alexander and Robert Jackson (Wayne); his daughter-in-law Cheryl B. Jackson; and his nieces, Carol Marshall and Beryl Geddings. He is also survived by six grand children, five great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
