He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gary and Hazel Louise Heron Haile; his wife Mary Ruth Slice Haile; and his sister Sylvia Haile Yellen. He is survived by: his children, Donna Haile Keller and Robert H. Haile, Jr. (Dayne); his grandchildren, Justin Keller, Austin K. McLawhorn (Scott), Joshua Keller, Brittany Barr, Cole Haile (Alex) and Shawn Haile; his great grandchild Ava Grace Haile; and his sister Linda Sue Haile Fauhl (Alan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crooked Creek Park Senior Adult Program.
