With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Rhoads Hess (Chapin, South Carolina), who passed away on January 24, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Nancy Rhoads is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Nancy Rhoads' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellsworth Rhoads and Madeleine Rhoads. She is survived by: her husband Craig J. Hess; her children, Alena Coulter (David), Heidi Bradshaw (Scott) and Kyle Hess (Cher); and her grandchildren, Matthew Lyn Coulter and Meredith Coulter Dial. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church (101 E Boundary St, Chapin, SC 29036). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

I will always treasure the memories we shared, as well as the Yahtzee's games, times at their home, our home and on their houseboat. Rest in Peace, Dear Nancy. Sympathy to Craig and Family.
