He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie D. Snipes and Juanita H. Snipes; and his son Billie D. Snipes. He is survived by: his wife Sandra L Snipes; his daughter Erin Cawood (Chris); his sister Mary A Brown (Jerry); his niece Laura B Lang (George); his great-nephew Sam Lang; his nephew Mark Brown (Stacy); his grandchildren, C. Hayden Cawood and Callasandra M Cawood; and also Jayden.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Chapin Baptist Church.
