We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2023, at the age of 81, John Gary Corbitt Sr. (Chapin, South Carolina), born in Peoria, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Engberg (Silvernail Corbitt) and James Corbitt; and his brother James "Jim" Corbitt. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Nanette Corbitt (Schmidt); his children, John Corbitt (Yvette), Doug Corbitt (Darlene), Amy Rule (Steve) and Hope Jeffcoat (Carl); his grandchildren, Nicholas Corbitt, Noah Corbitt, Jacob Corbitt, Logan Corbitt, Shannon Corbitt, Kiersten Brown (Alex), Michaela Jefferson (Tim), Kyle Rule, Zachary Jeffcoat, Andrew Jeffcoat, Tyler Jeffcoat and Kathleen Jeffcoat; his great grandchild McKenna Brown; his siblings, Jerry Corbitt (Janet) and JoEllen Guthrie (Dale); and his sister-in-law Nancy Corbitt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital and the Men's Club Scholarship Fund at our Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
