She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Sands; her parents, S. Lester Spangler and Martha H. Spangler; and her siblings, Elizabeth White and Marvin Spangler.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Warren of White Rock, SC, Steve Sands (Linda) of Pittsboro, N. C. and Stan Sands (Teresa) of West Columbia, SC.; her grandchildren, Jonathan Sands (Carla), Christine Davis (Don), Amy Harrison (Nick) and Julie Sands; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Perry, William Sands, Kaley, Rebekah, Eli Davis and Charlotte Harrison; and her siblings, S. L. Spangler, Charlsie Wenzinger, Chris Krosnes and Phyllis Ogle.
