He was predeceased by: his parents, Sydney Lewis Watts and Margaret Watts; his wife Nina Ruth Watts; and his grandson Drayton Mims. He is survived by: his children, Holly Mims (late Drury) and Wade Watts; his grandchildren, John Dru Mims, Claire Haffley and Weston Watts, Jr.; and also Wes Watts (Tina). He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
