It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Lou Doggett of Chapin, South Carolina, born in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, who passed away on January 5, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lee and Myrtle Brown (Monfredo); her siblings, Joseph Brown and Jennifer Brown Owens (James); her close friend Ronald Billington; and also, Manda and Suzie.
She is survived by: her children, James (Jed) of Lake Lure, NC and Laine (Douglas Nichols) of Leonardtown; her brother Charles Brown (Patti) of Columbus, NC; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Brown of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by numerous nephews and cousins.
