It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alden Rodney Gainey of Chapin, South Carolina, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Alden Rodney leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Braddock and Coyt Gainey; and his sister Margaret Helen Gainey. He is survived by: his wife Annie Jackson Gainey; his son Alden Rodney Gainey, Jr.; and his former wife Patsy Howle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made in Rodney's honor may be made to Chapin Christian Community Church.
