She was predeceased by: her spouse Reverend Jack Ralph Filson; her sons, Joseph Wayne Filson and John Rolland Filson; her grandchildren, Michael Derin Bomar and Angela Christine Dunbar; and her siblings, William (Wilma Walter), Elizabeth "Libby" (Jack Quire), Katherine (William Samples), Emma (Neville Quire), Ella (Norris Hamlin) and Lucille (Shirley Miles).
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Dee Filson Bomar (Harold) of Eastover, Claudia Tina Filson White of Gaston and Margo Gay Filson Chaffins (Coy) of Cayce; her grandchildren, Denise, Johnny Black, Harold Malcolm "Mal", Della Bomar, Jim Dunbar, John, Rosalia Dunbar, Elissa Filson, Jenna Patrick, Darwin, Ginger Weaver, Becky Chaffins and Michael Chaffins; her great grandchildren, Will, Shannon Black, Eva Black, Gordon, Ellison Black, Aaron Decatur, Kelsey Allison, Malcolm Tanner Bomar, Nikolas A. Melendez, Daniel Dunbar, Sarah Dunbar, Charles Dunbar, Benjamin Galassi, Sydney Grace Filson, Leena Filson, Ariel Weaver, D. J. Weaver, Dustin, Brooke Barnett, Allie Barnett, Ashley Chaffins, Savannah, Connor Ogle and Faith Chaffins; and her great great grandchildren, Waylon Black, Brooks Black, Judd Black and Caroline Chaffins.
