He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his parents, Roy Nelson and Minnie Nelson of Marion, VA.; his son Ronald L. Nelson; and his grandson Brian Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Lewis Nelson Jr. of Lexington, Della Marie Copper (Doug) of Leesville and Denise Catherine Nelson (Kebin Ahrens) of Ridgeway. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cayce United Methodist Church (1600 12th St, Cayce, SC 29033).
