He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Estelle Davis and Luther Rudolph Woods. He is survived by: his wife Malinda Woods; his sons, Jimmy Woods, Jr. (Wendy), Chris Woods (Lisa) and Tony Woods (T. K.); and his grandchildren, Tyler, Ramsey, Christopher, Alexander, Boston Terrier and Buddy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broadacres Baptist Church.
