She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Maxie McManus, Sr. and Jessie Bowick McManus. She is survived by: her spouse J. B. Whatley; her daughters, Deborah Whatley and Karen Folsom (Chris); her grandchildren, Jenna Long (John), Jared Williams, Isabella and Emmerson Whatley; her great grandchild Brooks Long; her brother Lonnie McManus Jr.; and her sister-in-law Irma Medlock. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel (1025 Main St S, Greenwood, SC 29646). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
