It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vevian Cassady (Catawba, South Carolina), born in Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Leroy Hudson and Bessie Hinson Hudson; her husband Fred Cassady, Sr.; her sons, Fred Cassady, Jr., Ronald Cassady and John Cassady; and her siblings, James Leroy Hudson, J. W. Hudson, James M. "Doc" Hudson, Vernon B. "Buck" Hudson, Nannie Stogner, Betty Rogers, Bessie Carroll and Lavicie Hudson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie Blackburn (Scott) of Catawba and Jane Caudle (Steve) of Catawba; her daughter-in-law Peggy Cassady of Rock Hill; her grandchildren, Justin McKee (Charlotte) of Rock Hill, Brandon McKee (Marsha) of Rock Hill, Mandy Burgess (Justin) of Lexington, SC, Steven Caudle (Alyssha) of Rock Hill, Luke Cassady of Rock Hill, Cassy Caudle of Catawba and Rebekah Blackburn of Catawba; her great grandchildren, Henry Burgess, Oliver Burgess and Harley Caudle; and her siblings, John L. Hudson Jr. (Ollie) of Lancaster and Monnie Deason of Lancaster.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Cassady's name to Providence Baptist Church, Children's Programs, 1947 Old Friendship Rd., Rock Hill, SC, 29730.
