He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Ethel Marcus Grasty; his brothers, James, Weaver, Charles, Jack, Kyle and Ted; and his sisters-in-law, Lib Grasty and Marvalene Grasty.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Hightower Grasty; his children, Debra Grasty Starnes (Jimmy), Jeffrey Lynn Grasty (Jill) and Anita Jewel Feemster (Jackie); his grandchildren, Meaghan Jewel Workman (Christopher), Jason Marcus Mitchell Ledbetter (Casey) of Amy Starnes, W. J., Callie Grasty Arbaugh (Brett) and Marcus Lee Feemster; his great grandchildren, Allyson Jewel Ferguson, Ryliegh Elizabeth Ferguson, TJ Putman, Caitlin Danielle McCray, London Lyric McCray, Ella McKee Grasty, Collin Hughes Putman, Addisyn Paige Ledbetter, Cailean William Workman, Kensleigh Chanel Ledbetter and Cooper Edwin Arbaugh; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Grasty, Guylene Grasty and Jennifer Grasty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
