She was predeceased by: her husband Deacon Early Johnson, Jr.; her parents, Deacon James A. Adamson, Jr. and Rosa Thompson Adamson; and her daughter Denise P. Johnson DuBose. She is survived by: her children, Cortez Johnson (Michele), Yolanda Thomas (Marvin), Hope Johnson Jones, Lathan Johnson, Erica Collins (Milton) and Rev. Everett Johnson; and her sisters-in-law, Juanita Copeland, Annette Evans and Marian Manigault. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
