He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rudolf Melton and Mary Frances Cureton Melton; and his brother Johnny Felder Melton. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Flowers Melton; his sons, Jim Melton (Sophia) of Maggie Valley, NC, Jeff Melton (Brittian) of Camden and Clay Dennis of Fort Lawn, SC; his stepson Daniel Ruple of Camden; and his siblings, Frankie Melton of Cassatt, Caroline Melton of Hollywood, FL and Elizabeth Ballard of Cassatt. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kornegay Funeral Home (1112 Fair St, Camden, SC 29020). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel (1112 Fair St, Camden, SC 29020). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the Quaker Cemetery (713 Meeting St, Camden, SC 29020).
