He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence G. Hines and Queenie Eppley Hines; his sons, Malcom and Doug Hines; and his siblings, Lawrence Hines, Agnes Constance, Florence Turner and Martha Suttles.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Earl Hines, Jr., Alvin Gene Hines, Joyce Ann Johnson, Linda Frady, Brenda Cooper and Janice Pitts; and his stepsons, Ernest "Strawberry" Earl Davis (Marci) and Harold "Bodean" Davis. He is also survived by twenty eight grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
