With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tena C Sawyer of Campobello, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dearl Martin and Nettie Ridings Martin; her husband Charles Sawyer; her siblings, Beulah Ballew, Ruby Witworth, Lois Thomas, Howard Martin of Dewey Martin, J. D, Ralph Martin and Jerry Martin; and her great great grandchild Baylor Ballenger.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne Sawyer (Mary) and Bruce Sawyer (Valeria); her sister Judy M. Price; her granddaughters, Rhonda Glover (David), Angie Smith (Shane) and Tanya Roberts (Landon); her great grandchildren, Lyndsey Ballenger (Adam), Kyle Glover, Katie Smith Hill (Dylan), Sawyer Smith, Haley Roberts, Caroline Roberts and Jayce Roberts; and her great great grandchildren, Banks Ballenger and Butler Ballenger.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Walnut Hill Baptist Church (675 Walnut Hill Church Rd, Campobello, SC 29322).
