She is survived by: her spouse James Edgar Gowan; her parent Mammie Louise Brown Splawn; her children, Christopher Patrick Gowan (Kathy), Sharon Gail Elchisco and Sandra Dale McGraw (Charles); and her siblings, James Splawn and Barbara Gail Dowling. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; many great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
