He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Floyd Blackwell and Elzie Mae Fisher Blackwell; his son Jeffery Glenn Blackwell; and his brothers, Joe and Johnny Blackwell.
He is survived by: his wife Polly Ann Ridings Blackwell; his daughters, Karen B. Pruitt (Douglas) and Tina Blackwell Hart (Mark Davis); and his siblings, Walter, James Blackwell, Mary Blackwell, Mildred Blackwell and Frances Ponder. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
