He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M. Fowler and Edith Hyder Fowler; and his brother Thomas Edward "Pete" Fowler. He is survived by: his wife Karen Eubanks Fowler; his children, Joseph McMakin Fowler (Anna) and Dr. Ashley Raye Fowler; his grandchildren, Davis Grey, Joseph Daniel (JD), Charlotte Bloom, Colleen Raye, Jay Warren and Griffin Creed (Finn); and his siblings, Don Fowler (Elaine), Joe Dean Fowler (Carolyn), Lynn Hall, Ginny McAninch, Kathy Eidson (Bill) and Ricky Nelson Fowler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Motlow Creek Baptist Church Guatemala Fund.
