It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace Dupree Hammett of Campobello, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on November 21, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Smiley Hammett and Ester Hammett (Lawter); his sister Carolyn Haynes; and his close friend Jean Turner. He is survived by: his son Ricky Hammett (Kim); his brother Kenneth Hammett; his nephews, Robert Hammett and Kent Hammett; his niece Sharon Darwin; his grandson Trey Bullman (Dare); and his great grandchild Clary Bullman.
