He is survived by: his wife Brenda Waddell Gilbert; his daughters, Rebecca Mistler (Keith) and Sabrina Kilpatrick (Vernon); his grandchildren, Caitlin Kilpatrick and Tristan Mistler; his siblings, Ron Gilbert, Sr. (Carolyn), Donnie Gilbert, Gwen Ogburn, Ellen Guffey (Carroll), Alvin Gilbert (Glenda), Robert Gilbert (Kathy), Darryl Gilbert and Amy Gilbert; and his pet Sophie.
