She is survived by: her children, Matthew McCarter and Melisa Garcia (Gabriel); her sisters, Martha Cox, Judy Martinez and Gail James; and her grandchildren, Ana, Juanita, Julia, Lupita, Veronica and Dexter. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
