He was predeceased by: his father Clyde Hipps; the mother of his children Lois Hipps; and his son Jonathan Hipps. He is survived by: his wife Arlene C. Fowler; his children, Angie Hipps-Lundy and Kenny Hipps; and his stepchildren, Rhonda Crow, Randy Searcy and Brian Atkins. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
