He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his daughter Heidi Mark; his sister Joan; his brother-in-law Bob Hinkle; his grandchildren, Noel and Eric Mark; his son Jeffrey Hirth; his niece Debbie; and his nephew Michael Bono. He is also survived by many cousins and wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Resurrection Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 427, Cameron, SC 29030.
