He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fields and Dorindie Syphrett Fields; and his siblings, John Andrew Fields, Oscar Fields and Ethel Westbury.
He is survived by: his wife Maggie S. Fields of Cameron; his children, E. Roger Fields, Jr. (Nanci), John W. Fields (Beth) and Susan F. McCormack (Robert); his grandchildren, Shana (D. J.), Dennis, Rachil (Jamie), Alexander, Bryan and Avery; and his great grandchildren, Allie Mae and Kaydin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
