He was predeceased by: his parents, Deacon James Ulmer and Alma Baxter Ulmer. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Ulmer; his son Willie J. Ulmer, Jr.; his siblings, Carl Ulmer and Jean V. James; his children, Kevin Ulmer (Dolores) and Davina Ulmer; and his siblings, Thelma Murdaugh (Johnny), Loretta Whetstone (Booker T.), Lessie V. Hunter, Albert Z. Ulmer (Debra), George Ulmer (Sirvasteen) and James Ulmer, III (Linda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
