He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Griffith Summers; and his daughters, Kathryn Summers Cherup and Ashley Summers Harvey. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Summers Fogle (Jerry); his sons-in-law, Monty Cherup and Jeffrey Harvey; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Salley Millender (Keith), Tyler Eugene Salley (Lizzy), Kathryn Olivia Summers Cherup (Chase), David Montgomery Cherup, Felder Keener Fogle and Davis Summers Fogle; and his brother Bill Summers (Penny). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
