She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Elliott and William Claude West, Sr.; and her sons, Henry Hill DuRant, Jr., William Nelson DuRant and W. Edward Ogburn, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Susan DuRant Jones (Steve). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
