He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann "Pat" Holley Sowell; his stepchildren, Kim Waltz and Jason Boone; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Waltz, Tyler Waltz and Declan McClure; his stepgreat-grandsons, Emerson Waltz and Landon Waltz; his siblings, Luther Alexander "Zan" Sowell, III (Corless), Britton Sowell Perkins (Randall) and Mary Sowell White; and his nephew Clint Still.
