It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valaree Halley Montgomery (Camden, South Carolina), born in Bishopville, South Carolina, who passed away on September 9, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Manning Halley of Bishopville and Kennie Jenkins Halley of Bishopville; her husband Robert L. Montgomery; her siblings, Hirtrell Halley (Bessie), Willie James Halley, Robert Halley, Matthew Halley, Thomas Halley and Nora Lee Halley; her sons, Robert and Ronnie Montgomery; her granddaughter Latesha Clea; and her great grandchild Kylee Hunter.
She is survived by: her children, Eartha Hunter (Herbert), Herbert Montgomery, Bertha Montgomery, Carolyn DuBose and Marion Montgomery; and her grandchildren, Tameka Hunter, Tia Hunter, Penny Hunter, Troy Hunter, Kanisha McLeod, Nathan Burroughs, Lakanisha Reese, Jalil Miller, Ziedel Clark and Cason Montgomery. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
