He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Pritchard Smith and Thomas Clyburn Smith Sr. of Camden; and his grandson Thomas Wesley Hudson. He is survived by: his wife Susan Parker Smith; his children, Thomas Chadrick Smith of Fort Mill and Stephanie Smith Hudson (Phillip) of Camden; his grandchildren, Molly Parker Hudson, Phillip "Hill" Edward Hudson III and Graham Wells Hudson; his sister Tammy Smith Brown (Don) of Bishopville; his nieces and nephews, Jordan, Evan, Sally (Gunny), Chris (Nikki) and Kerrie (Vince); and his siblings-in-law, Jenny Parker (Wayne), Sarah Parker and Jesse Parker.
