He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Slaughter and Jean Rena Blanton Slaughter; his former wife Katherine Slaughter; and his brother Bruce Slaughter. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hall Slaughter; his children, Jacob Slaughter (Laurie) of Elgin, Eric Slaughter (Matthew) of Portland, OR, Paige Long (Will) of Columbia, Heather Branham (Henry) of Elgin and Amy McGill (Douglas) of Columbia; his siblings, Scott Slaughter and Barbara Hatting; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Tate, Emma Grace, Regan, Eli, Zoe, Piper, Liam and Wren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvest Baptist Church, Youth Fund.
