He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Barnmaker Smart; his sons, Steve Smart, Jr. (Amy) and Robert Smart; his stepchildren, Mickey Cox (Lisa), Bradd Cox and Deborah Brannen; his grandson Matthew Smart; his stepgrandsons, Joshua Cox and Daniel Cox; and his siblings, Kathy Jakubetz (Greg) and Tommy Smart.
