He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Peach Smith and Walter Frank Smith, Jr.; his daughter Tammy Gale Smith; and his brother David Roger Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Kathy S. Sanders (Timmy) of Camden and Joel Smith of Camden; and his adoptive daughter Darlene Smith of Summerville. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
