He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond E. Pinkerton and Daisy Marie Heverly Pinkerton; and his siblings, Virginia McKain, Sandra Thomas, Paul Pinkerton, Charlie Pinkerton, Bobby Pinkerton, Tom Pinkerton and Raymond Pinkerton.

He is survived by: his wife Lola Lee Ice Pinkerton; and his daughter Sandra "Sandy" Pinkerton (Craig Wetterman) of Dublin, OH.
