She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Leslie Cassidy and Miriam Walters Cassidy; her husband John Hubert Walters; her son John "Tappy" Walters; her son-in-law Teddy Elliott; and her granddaughter Heather Diane Colvin.

She is survived by: her children, Dianne Elliott, James "Bubba" Walters (Trish) and Debbie Colvin (Tony); her daughter-in-law Robin Walters; her grandchildren, Kris Elliott (Melissa), Ashley Elliott, Chris Marr (Katie), Ginger Marie Hess and Brandy Bennett; her great grandchildren, Brett Elliott, Braxton, Coleman Marr, Gage, Jada, Gaby Holloman, Cameron Holland, Karis and Gavin Bennett; her sister Alice Williams; and also Sherry Vandriest.
